From your photos to a story you can color.
Your photos help us recognize the people, pets, and favorite things in your story. We use those references to create illustrations for a connected coloring storybook, with new scenes that follow the story you choose.

Choose clear photos of each character
Pick a well-lit photo where the face is easy to see. A clear front view is a useful starting point; another angle can help show a hairstyle, glasses, or distinctive features. Choose photos without heavy filters or objects covering the face.
The characters do not all need to appear in the same group photo. Add each person or pet in the order form and upload their pictures to that character. Use the name and relationship fields to make clear who is who.
Add the details a photo cannot explain
A picture might show a child holding a stuffed dinosaur, but it does not tell us the dinosaur’s name or why it matters. Tell us about favorite toys, interests, nicknames, and the people who belong in the adventure. Mention a familiar place if the story should happen there.
Notes about hair, clothing, glasses, or a pet’s markings are helpful when photos vary. If a specific detail must be in the book, say so in the order rather than expecting us to guess.
Photos are references; the story sets the scenes
An Ink Your Tale book tells a story across changing illustrations. You do not need a photograph for every scene. For example, a family photo can introduce the characters for a park adventure with packing, walking, playing, and coming home.
Look at the Mahalia and Kenoy sample: a photo of the children is followed by an illustrated park scene with its own story caption. The goal is recognizable characters in a story that unfolds, with space to add your own colors.
Give the story a direction
Tell us where the story starts, what happens along the way, and how it ends. A list is fine. Include exact words you want to keep, or choose creative freedom if you would like us to write the story from the details you provide.
For a gift with a reveal, explain the surprise and the final question or message. For a child’s adventure, a small problem and a helpful friend can give the story a clear middle and ending.
Choose print or PDF
