Start with a world they know
A story does not need a faraway kingdom to feel special. A trip to the park, a birthday morning, a visit to a grandparent, or an adventure in the backyard can become the setting. Add the sibling, friend, pet, or stuffed animal your child would want beside them.

Tell us the details they will recognize
Share the character’s name, a clear photo, and a few details that make them recognizable: a hairstyle, glasses, a favorite outfit, or a much-loved toy. Tell us who everyone is to one another. A photo of a favorite toy helps us understand its shape and details, too.
Use the story field to explain what happens. A simple beginning, a small challenge, and a warm ending give the adventure direction. You can ask for a sweet, funny, or adventurous tone. If you do not have a plot, choose creative freedom and let us write around the people and interests you provide.
Read a little, color a little
The words are separate from the coloring artwork at the bottom of each story page. Read the scene together, talk about what the characters are doing, and let your child decide how to color the picture. The scenes change as the story moves forward.
Printed books have a full-color outside cover and black-and-white coloring pages inside. A printable PDF keeps every page black and white. Both are made around the details you send.
